Project 02 Rhein-Main Region.
A visual chronicle mapping the contrast, urban shifts, and industrial heritage of a dynamic metropolitan area.
The Rhine-Main metropolitan area is a region defined by fascinating, high-contrast dualities. It is a place where futuristic glass skyscrapers stand in the immediate vicinity of centuries-old timber-framed towns, and where bustling industrial shipping ports seamlessly transition into tranquil, rolling vineyards.
This multi-faceted photographic essay serves as a comprehensive, long-term visual portrait of the region I call home. By dividing the work into four core chapters, this series captures the diverse identity of the area—documenting its modern urban scale, its rich architectural heritage, its raw industrial backbone, and the quiet natural landscapes that frame it all.
