Industry & Infrastructure.

Most infrastructure is designed to get you somewhere else. Photographers have a habit of stopping halfway.

Bridges, railway lines, roads and industrial sites are full of repetition, movement and geometry — especially when the light starts doing something useful.

This part of Rhein-Main Confluence looks at the structures that keep the region moving, and at the moments when something purely functional suddenly becomes worth stopping for.

Rhein-Main Confluence is an ongoing project. New photographs will be added as the series develops.
